ちょうど昨年の桜が咲く頃だったでしょうか。ラコステさんと初めての出会いがありました。世界中の人から愛され信頼されているラコステさんからお声をかけていただけたことは身に余るほどの光栄と思いますし、あらためて身が引き締る思いでもありました。今プロジェクトが、ウィメンズにフォーカスすることも、今まで女性のみなさんに吊り編物の良いところをお伝えしきれずにいましたので、たいへん嬉しいことと思っています。今や日本が誇る吊り編物、とりわけ吊り裏毛を編むことの意義を、難しくなく女性のみなさんへお伝えできたら本望です。
It was exactly around the time last year that the cherry blossoms were blooming that I first met with Lacoste. Being approached by Lacoste; a brand loved and trusted by people worldwide is an honor of which I almost feel unworthy; there where various occasions that I felt anxious. This project, which is made for women finally allows the excellence of Loopwheeled articles to be brought to women (something which up until now was not the case). This makes me truly happy. This is the fruition of a long held ambition to impart to all women the significance of Japan’s proudly produced produced Loopwheeled articles, above all Loopwheeled french terry.

Pictured above is the zip parka. This is produced using our LW light french terry. We really fussed over the fine details when producing this. The zipper, the zipper pull, and the spindles are all Loopwheeler originals and the pattern too has been significantly upgraded in spec from previous models. The retail price including tax is 24,150 yen. It will be available in Glavier and Marine in sizes 34, 36 and 38. On the left chest is the eternally recognized crocodile. Seeing it bring about a feeling of deep admiration. I can fit into the size 38, so I’m considering perhaps buying one.
このマークとの出会いは、やはり大学生の頃でしょうか。思い出深いポロシャツでした。今でもポロシャツはラコポロがリファレンスであったりもします。続く。。。。
I believe that my first encounter with this logo was around my university student years. It was a polo shirt that I still remember well. Even now Lacoste polo shirts are my point o f reference for all others. More up next…
